About me

I write drama about people who are very good at holding it together.

My characters keep up appearances long after things have come apart internally. I'm interested in how our inner lives surface in the world around us, and how the institutions we're embedded in colour, limit, and restrain who we become. The stories I'm drawn to are about the moment the public and private self finally meet.

I studied at Cambridge, then co-founded and ran a summer school business for many years. I now work part-time and write for TV and film.
